“Orienta-menti” kicks off in Palermo: creative workshops for children and a listening space for parents

A place of encounter and dialogue for parents, a creative space for children: on Saturday, October 25, “Orienta-menti” will begin in Palermo — a series of four meetings designed for families with children aged 0 to 6, combining educational support and hands-on workshops.

The initiative will take place at the Cuore che vede association (via Giuseppe Cirincione 58/B) and is part of the national project E.N.E.R.G.Y. – Enhancing Nurturing and Education Rights GloballY, promoted by Fondazione Reggio Children – Centro Loris Malaguzzi ETS with the support of Fondazione Generali The Human Safety Net, in collaboration with IC Sperone-Pertini, Cuore che vede, and Ecomuseo Mare Memoria Viva.

Each meeting will offer families the opportunity to engage with a multidisciplinary team of professionals — including pedagogists, psychologists, pediatricians, social workers, and legal advisors — on everyday topics, questions, and curiosities raised by parents themselves: from digital education to accident prevention, from early childhood adaptation in nurseries to healthy nutrition, and the recognition of common pediatric conditions.

While parents take part in the listening and discussion sessions, children will enjoy the creative workshop “Volta la carta”, an atelier that combines paper and digital tools to stimulate manual, expressive, sensory, and relational skills, guided by experienced educators.

The meetings will be held on the following dates:

• October 25 – with a clinical pedagogist and a social worker

• November 22 – with a pediatrician and a social worker

• November 29 – with a legal consultant and a social worker

• December 13 – with a psychologist and a social worker

Two participation sessions are available: 10:00–11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
