Online the proceedings of the P.E.R. Reggio Emilia launch conference

The proceedings of the first of six international conference-actions of the P.E.R. Play Explore Research project, which took place on 16 and 17 November 2023 in Reggio Emilia, in collaboration with The LEGO Foundation, have been published.

The project was created with the aim of pursuingSustainable Development Goal 4 of Agenda 2030: to provide quality, equitable and inclusive education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Through conferences, workshops and in-depth studies on the theme of play as a tool for learning, the aim is therefore to improve the awareness of playful educational practices of teachers, educators and caregivers on a national and international level, to contribute to the dissemination of the benefits of this approach through the publication of doctoral research, and to foster the experimentation of playful educational activities dedicated to teachers, children and their families.

As of today, the contributions of Sidsel Marie Kristensen - CEO of The LEGO Foundation, Luca Vecchi - former Mayor of Reggio Emilia, Carla Rinaldi - President of Fondazione Reggio Children , Mitchel Resnick - Director of the Lifelong Kindergarten research team and member of the Scientific Committee of the Reggio Children Foundation and Vanna Iori, Professor of Pedagogy at the Catholic University of Milan are available online and will be included in a collection published by Edizioni Junior to shed light on all the interventions in the five countries of the world envisaged by the P.E.R. project.
