“Un salto in Via Gioia” returns to Caffarri on Thursday 9 April

On Thursday 9 April, we look forward to seeing you at Caffarri for “Un salto in Via Gioia”, an afternoon open to children and families to spend time together through activities, exploration and discovery.

From 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm, at Caffarri (Via Flavio Gioia 4, Reggio Emilia), we’ll immerse ourselves in the world of pebbles, stones and rocks: simple materials yet full of possibilities. How do they move? What are they made of? And what if they could tell us something? It’ll be an invitation to look closely, touch, imagine and let yourself be surprised.

For this occasion, the afternoon will revolve around the theme of stones, with three activities to choose from, aimed at children aged 6 and over:

• Stone Body
  An encounter with weights, shapes and (im)mobility to explore the qualities of stone through the language of movement.
  Age: 6–10 | Time: 4.15–5.15 pm
• What is a stone made of?
  What is a stone? Where does it come from? How is it formed and how does it ‘die’? What is it made of? And how does it live alongside other stones?
  Age: 6+ | Time: 16.30–17.30
• Distinguishing features: secret codes in stones
  Observing, photographing and imagining the traces of time in stones.
  Age: 6–10 | Time: 16.30–17.30

For children aged 0–6, there will be areas for free exploration: activities focusing on the sounds of different materials, books upcycled by Remida, Lego worlds under construction, and a special storytelling session to round off the event.
