A day to discover the Ex Caffarri

Saturday, March 23rd 2024 in Reggio Emilia will be presented the new spaces of the Ex Caffarri, a few steps from the Loris Malaguzzi International Center.

Starting next autumn, the redesigned spaces will be dedicated to research laboratories and educational activities by Fondazione Reggio Children and Centro Remida (a project by Istituzione Scuole e Nidi d’Infanzia of Comune di Reggio Emilia, Fondazione Reggio Children and Iren) to welcome children, students, young people, families, citizens, creatives, who want to rediscover the alphabets of imagination and the joy of creating and playing together.

The reuse and recovery of the building has been included by Comune di Reggio Emilia in the projects of urban regeneration developed in these years by STU Reggiane.

The spaces that will be presented, will be dedicated to laboratories and educational activities by Reggio Children Foundation, such as P.E.R. with The LEGO Foundation, Reggio Childhood Studies doctorate, and by Remida, il Centro di Riciclaggio Creativo.

The event is part of the “50+1” program, initiatives to celebrate the anniversary of “Grammatica della fantasia”, dedicated by Gianni Rodari to the city of Reggio Emilia.
