The winners of the Loris Malaguzzi Literary Prize are announced in Sologno

Saturday 2 September in Sologno di Reggio Emilia the award ceremony of the fourth edition of the Literary Prize entitled to Loris Malaguzzi

Born with the purpose of honoring the work and thought of the Reggiano pedagogue, the initiative has seen the participation of many candidates who have joined the Call for papers and unpublished texts on the theme of early childhood education. 

The event was attended by representatives of the Malaguzzi family, the Mayor of Villa Minozzo, Elio Sassi who recalled how in Sologno Malaguzzi discovered the knowledge of manual skills, that enters into education and a role of education to know how to be and be citizens, the representatives of the Cultural Group Out of the Choir and the Pro Loco of Sologno, including Anna Giorgini, representing Out of the Choir, which recalled how Sologno was the first place in which Malaguzzi was a master, the President of the National Park Appennino Tosco-Emiliano Fausto Giovanelli, who testified to the attention of the Park and the municipalities close to the concept of "citizens of the Park", a concept that today has evolved into the formula "education for sustainability" and the President of LegaCoop Emilia Ovest, Edwin Ferrari.

Following are the winners of the sections in competition:

• Educational Section, prize won by Enrico Giori;
• Poetry section, prize won by Tiziana Morani;
• Prose section, prize won by Francesco Racca;
• Section "I Cento Linguaggi" for schools, prizes won by the nursery school of Ligonchio (primary school), class IV of the Giovanni XXIII school of Castelnovo be' Monti (primary school) and class II F of the Roteglia school (secondary school of 1st grade) and the Mandela Institute in Castelnovo ne' Monti (secondary school of 2nd grade). 

The award ceremony ended with an interview with Professor Goussot, conducted by Veronica Silvestri, telling part of the life and work of his father, the great pedagogue Alain Goussot.

The Literary Prize Loris Malaguzzi was organized by the Cultural Group Out of the Choir and ProLoco di Sologno and sponsored by the Municipality of Villa Minozzo and Fondazione Reggio Children - Centro Internazionale Loris Malaguzzi.
