School tomorrow: Educational Architecture, Pedagogy and Local Authorities
Monday 10 October in Genoa the conference by the Order of Architects PPC of Genoa
Architecture, pedagogy and didactics will be at the center of the conference Scuola Domani on Monday 10 October in Genoa.
Monday, October 10, 2022 architecture, teaching, pedagogy and local authorities protagonists of Scuola Domani, the conference by the Order of Architects PPC of Genoa in collaboration with USR-Regional School Office of Liguria and sponsored by the Regional Federation Order of Architects PPC Liguria, which will be held from 9 to 13, in the Hall of the Major Council of Palazzo Ducale in Genoa.
An important moment of dialogue and discussion to stimulate the various actors in the development process of the new school concept for tomorrow, which will be followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between INDIRE, USR Liguria, the Architect Orders of the four Ligurian provinces, Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio Città metropolitana di Genova e La Spezia and ANCI LIGURIA to establish forms of collaboration and mutual involvement in innovative school projects. Public, regional and municipal authorities will also be invited to ratify the Protocol.

PROGRAM
The conference, moderated by the curators Sabrina Vallino (USR) and Aldo Daniele (OA.GE), will be introduced and accompanied by music of the students of the Liceo Musicale e Coreutico Sandro Pertini di Genova. After the institutional greetings of Antimo Ponticiello, director USR Liguria, Riccardo Miselli, president Order Architects Genoa, Pietro Piciocchi, Budget and Public Works Municipality Genoa and Cristina Bartolini, Soprintendente Archeologia, Fine Arts and Landscape Metropolitan City of Genoa and La Spezia, the first panel will be dedicated to the theme of teaching with interventions, among others, by Samuele Borri for INDIRE - National Institute for Documentation, Innovation and Educational Research by Alberto Ferlenga for IUAV Venice.
The contribution of Fondazione Reggio Children and Educational Workshop of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia will follow with Valentina Conte and Angela Borrillo who will deepen the pedagogical aspects, then to move on to the focus on architecture with the greetings of the Regional Federation Orders Architects PPC Liguria and the interventions of the architects Alfonso Femia, AF517, ideator project "School Social Impact" and Cino Zucchi, Professor of Architectural and Urban Composition at the Politecnico di Milano. For the occasion, will be present Giulia Guglielmini, president Fondazione per la Scuola - Compagnia di San Paolo who will tell about the role of the Foundation in supporting innovation in learning spaces. To represent the local authorities, Daniele Martino, Coordinator of the conference of the municipal councils of Anci Liguria and president of the council of Andora (SV); Marta Brusoni, councillor for Educational Policies of the Municipality of Genoa and Elisa Di Padova, Deputy Mayor with powers delegated to the Education, School and Training Policies of the Municipality of Savona.

New learning landscapes
Three new quality educational contexts have emerged from outdoor, passing through or underused spaces at the Galileo Galilei middle school and at the Marco Polo primary school in Reggio Emilia.
FARE SCUOLA
The project FARE SCUOLA promotes change in schools by redesigning the spaces intended as learning and relational places. Since 2015, 90 pre-schools and primary schools (children aged 3-11 years old) have been involved to offer new learning opportunities and new ways of doing and thinking about school.
