From 18 to 20 April in Barcelona the 9th edition of the STEAM Conference
Teachers, educators and researchers from all over the world in the Spanish city to promote integrated teaching of STEAM disciplines
Barbara Donnici and Elèna Sofia Paoli from the scintillae - play and learning in the digital age team took part in the conference as experts, proposing different ways to think and experiment on the theme of the game and its implications for STEAM education.
The first meeting saw participants involved first in an immersive session to confront and find concrete solutions to the daily challenges of teaching, then in the workshop "Machines to understand plants", where they have designed and built some prototypes of machines to interpret the plant elements present, using in an unconventional way materials and digital tools.
The proposal was an opportunity to tell and continue working together on an activity designed and conceived by children of Reggio Emilia on the relationship between human beings and the plant world.
The conference ended with a dialogue presentation to learn more about Fondazione Reggio Children, its projects and some key elements underlying the educational approach of Reggio Emilia, Also through some images and words collected during the conference exchange moments.
